Grado Professional Series - PS1000 - Just $1695

"…we think the PS1000 is the best-looking and best-sounding headphone we've tested from the company. That also makes it one of the best pair of headphones we've ever heard."
-
Steve Guttenberg/CNET

"I’ve been listening to Grado headphones for over 15 years, and I have to say that the PS1000 is the greatest headphone they’ve ever made."
-
Mark Rivera, long time member of the Billy Joel Band & Musical Director for Ringo Star

"The PS1000's are finally, the first set of headphones that would motivate me to sell all the rest, because these PS1000s do it all and do it as flawlessly as I've yet experienced. The PS1000's are the very best Grado headphone ever made."

The sonic result is of the highest quality, the spectral balance is an amazing achievement. This headphone is a tool that will highlight the shortcomings of many “famous loudspeakers. Have a listen, compare, you shall not be disappointed.
-
Audiophiliac – CNET News / Steve Guttenberg

Pardon me while I gush over the way GS-1000 clarifies live recordings. The sound seemed to surround me, with a rare ability to resolve depth, just as you would in a concert hall. Ditto for the way this headphone reveals rhythmic underpinnings in rock and jazz CDs. Grados have always been exciting, classical music now sounds more refined. Bass is deep, yet more controlled and precise than ever before.

Grado Reference Series - RS1i - Just $695

What does the i stand for in the new RS1i from Grado? Improved, that’s what! Featuring a new species of handcrafted Mahogany earpieces made using an intricate curing process; Grado has been able to optimize the tonal quality. The RS1i uses new upgraded dynamic transducers and the new 8 conductor cable design all in an open-air configuration, the cups being open-backed. The result is a smooth, controlled and coherent sound with detailed dynamics. Frequency response ranges from 12-30 kHz and the drivers are matched to 0.05dB. Weighing 9oz, the headphones are an example of the wonder of Mother Nature with a gorgeous, dark-colored Mahogany look.

"...the Grado RS1 adds up to a resounding no-brainer recommendation. Some refer to it as foot tapping, or pace and rhythm, I prefer the term kinetic energy. Whichever term resonates with you, be aware that the RS1 brings all of the above to the musical table."
- By Dick Olsher / EnjoyTheMusic.com

"Grado's RS1 has been able to utilize the natural resonance of wood to produce – in our humble opinion – the finest headphones in the world. In fact, the word "masterpiece" was bandied about frequently in the edit meetings"
- Kenny Booras / Industry magazine

"RS1 is at its best with instrumental, vocal and small-scale groups, particularly if you like your music up front and personal. The Grados are clearly a music lover’s component, trading a little accuracy and detail for warmth, presence and tonal color – a trade most tube lovers would make any day. Try them on for comfort and sound, you’ll not be disappointed."
- Phil Gold / Inner Ear Magazine

Grado Reference Series - RS2i - Just $495

"...the RS2s’ big-hearted sound won us over. It’s more vivid than that of other high-quality headphones—bass is reach and touch-realistic, midrange is clear and true, and treble livelier than any other headphones we’ve tried."
- Steve Guttenberg / CNET

Just as oak barrels enhance the flavor of wine, these mahogany drums refine the sound of music. The earpieces on Grado's RS2 headphones are handcrafted from specially cured wood and have a large open-air chamber. The result is a complex bouquet of decreased distortion, accentuated bass response, warm harmonic tones and a supersmooth top end. Sweet!
- Seth Feman, Wired Magazine

"...it's the full-bodied sound - especially the luscious, rich resonant bass - that makes the Grado 'phones special"
- Sam Telling - STEREOPHILE
Vol. 21, No.2

"If you audition the Grado RS2s, you may find something you never heard before: the calm artistry of well made sound."
- Jim Merod, Jazz-Now - Magazine

Grado Prestige Series - SR 325is - Just $295

"The retro design makes these headphones look like they'd be more at home reproducing Mozart than pumping out Jay-Z. But looks can be deceiving: The gold colored cans churn out unrivaled sonics no matter what's sent through them. They produce strong, accurate bass, warm and natural mids, and crisp clean highs with almost no tonal coloration. They're impressively lightweight..."
Chuck Tannert / Penthouse magazine

HI-FI Choice
"…the degree of insight these headphones offer into sounds is really very impressive. This is high quality music reproduction, thoroughly deserving of serious attention."
Richard Black / Hi-Fi Choice magazine

What Hi-fi
"...speakers of similar sonic ability as the 325i would set you back at least three grand"

Stuff magazine
"In a world where predictable, playing-it-safe design is the norm, it’s hugely refreshing that a company such as Grado has the cojones to market a pair of cans that look like something Christopher Eccleston might have hanging up in his tardis. We think the 325is look great, in a retro style. They sound awesome,
too!"

"The SR225s sound unlike any other headphone. They have an amazingly solid presentation, packed with weight and presence. There is also a pleasant richness in the midrange that benefits all types of music."
WHAT Hi-Fi

"Analytical listening was helped by the well-defined locations of individual instruments and voices. If headphones can be as musically satisfying as this, they must be pretty good."

Gramophone
"Still, in its own realm the Grado SR125 is a real winner and an excellent value. I cannot imagine a better sounding headphone at anywhere near its price."
- Julian Hirsch - Stereo Review Vol.60, No.5

"It was obvious to me that the members were very impressed by the Grado SR125 headphones."
-Edward Long- Audio Magazine Vol.79, No.8

"Nearly every headphone-using colleague I spoke to in the USA keeps either SR60, SR80, or SR125s handy for reviewing."

Grado Prestige Series - SR 80i - Just $99

"It figures that these Brooklyn-made phones would kick some serious butt. These babies have a pretty big sound; a powerful, tight bottom end, very articulate midrange, and a good top end. They have an airy, open quality-less in your head then most phones near their price."
Audio Video / Vol. 1, No. 4 / Steve Guttenberg

"If you are looking for a headphone to use as a reference, you may want to go up the line. To me, the SR80 is the price-performance winner."

Grado Prestige Series - SR 60i - Just $79

"You’ll be hard pressed to find a better pair of headphones for the money than the Grado SR60. The upper mids/highs reveal excellent detail, and the bass is solid too. I bought a pair about 8 years ago and I swear the price was the same as it is today. Good price, simple looks, practical and sophisticated where it counts: in the sound."
- Chris Jones / The Perfect Vision magazine

"Frequently described as “the gateway to audiophile sound,” the Grado SR60 headphones hold the title of “best full-size open headphones for less than $100” – many models that cost twice as much don’t sound as good. The retro-looking SR60 headphones have punchy but natural sound and will floor most first-time listeners."
- Macworld

"...the Grado SR60s may just be the greatest audiophile value in the world"
- Ed Kobesky / Positive Feedback

"BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK! The SR60 offers near-studio-grade sound for a fraction of competitor’s prices. In our test, these headphones unearthed previously unheard layers of sound, thanks to the low distortion and high accuracy typically available only in pricey phones you see cupping the ears of audio engineers."
- CARGO magazine
