The following is from Epinions.com:

soupcraze's Full Review: Miller and Kreisel V-125 Speaker

The M&K V-125 is another one of M&K's nice and low priced subwoofers. The M&K V-125 is a very popular model though, and is the "big brother" of the V-75/6 by incorporating a more powerful amplifier. I have recently had the time to experience the cheaper and less powerful V-75/6, and now I've tried the M&K V-125. So here's what I found with the M&K V-125:

-Price-
*The M&K V-125 has an MSRP of around $750, pushing it $150 above the M&K V-75/6. The main difference between these two subwoofers is the fact that the M&K V-125 has a 125 Watt amplifier while the other model has a 75 Watt amplifier. This gives the M&K V-125 more bang and a higher RMS which means this thing can go much louder and bang harder than the 75. If you don't listen to heavy metal or rap, then I'm sure that you can get by the the M&K V-75/6 by saving yourself around $150. However, if you're looking for more powerful bass, then you should consider the M&K V-125. Both of them use M&K's 12" Long-throw drivers. But comparing the M&K V-125 to other 12" subwoofers from other brands with similar or even higher wattage, the M&K V-125 "pounds" away the competition. The M&K V-125 has bass quality that is simply unsurpassed. M&K has been in the business for decades, and they definitely know their stuff. Just compare and listen... Chances are that you'll see that the M&K V-125 provides more powerful, cleaner, and more accurate bass than anyone else has to offer, especially at such a price.

-Sound Quality-
*The M&K V-125 delivers exactly what you would expect from M&K. Deep, powerful, clean, and very accurate bass. Sure it's not as powerful as other subwoofers that have more powerful amplifiers but are cheaper, but they offer more distorted bass and simply can't re-create the low notes with the quality and precision that M&K is able to do. While playing different kinds of music, the M&K V-125 sounded absolutely superb. From classical music to JPop, from classic rock to pop, this thing handled superbly. Also, while playing heavy metal, the M&K V-125 did handle bass exceptionally, though a much cheaper 15" KLH will pound much harder, and same goes for rap. However, if you have a deep appreciation for music, then you'd appreciate the excellent bass that the M&K V-125 has to offer, a must for a mid-fi or even hi-fi audiophile system!

-The Verdict-
*For the price, the M&K V-125 is unsurpassed. The only other comparable model is the M&K V-75/6 which has only a smaller amplifier, but same driver. However, for someone with a well-rounded taste of music which can go from classical which needs the clean bass to rap which needs a lot of boom, the M&K V-125 might be found to be more suitable with its increased power with 125 Watts. I don't think the competition stands too much of a chance versus the M&K V-125 in the same price range, this subwoofer delivers cleaner and more accurate bass than most competitors. These few hundred dollars which will go into this sub will definitely be well spent.
