Special Anniversary Sale!
We've had our home audio shop for 11 awesome years! We first opened for business in the San Francisco Bay Area, where we lived for more than 25 years. But in 2003 we moved our home and our shop to the Tampa Bay Area. It was 5 years ago, on October 11, 2003, that we opened our shop here in Clearwater, Florida. Our premise was simple: by providing the very finest products in music reproduction, by dealing with all of our customers with admiration and respect, and by delivering genuine value-added service of the highest order, we would find a welcome place for ourselves here among the music lovers of Florida. We are very pleased that that premise worked! To celebrate our anniversary and show our appreciation, we are happy to bring you, our customers, a very Special Anniversary Sale! For our Florida customers, you pay no sales tax on any new product purchased during our sale (which runs throughout the month of October 2008). Click the Link and you're there! We've been busily adding new products and information to the Store. We have so much more to add but we move closer to having the shelves full every week. Need a Small Speaker that
Produces a Big Sound?
The BG Z-92 loudspeakers have just been awarded "Product
of the Year" from Electronic House!
For the past two issues, we've been talking about these new speakers. They are so very good and priced so very low that we can't stop talking about them. The Bohlender-Graebener Corporation (known as BG Corp) is a Nevada based corporation. Yes, these speakers are made in the USA! BG Corp Z Series speakers are truly something different. Along with their dual 6 1/2" Neodymium Magnet woofers, these three-way speakers have the finest planar ribbon midrange and tweeter units around. They have a small footprint, narrow and unobtrusive, and yet produce prodigious bass to match the sweet, smooth, dynamic, fast, detailed and always musical planar ribbon mids and tweeter—you will like these speakers. And, if you're like so many of our customers who have to fit their loudspeakers into narrow spaces, you're going to love them (and so will your spouse!). The Z-92 and Z-62 speakers are at the top of the Z Series but still are so reasonably priced that you won't believe your ears. The floor standing Z 92 goes for just $2,495 a pair and the Z-62 Center channel speaker is just $999. Stepping down a bit in size (but not so far in performance) is the Z-7 Floorstander (pictured to the right). It sells for just $999 a pair!! With its matching Center Channel speaker (Z-5, $399), the Z-1 bookshelf speakers ($599 a pair) and the Z-Sub (just $599), you can put together one seriously good 5.1 home theater speaker system that puts many much more expensive systems to shame. New Simplified Consignment Options! We've gotten a LOT of interest in our consignment department since we announced the "levels" that we now offer. You can look forward to an expanded used and consignment department as the used products roll in. To reiterate our consignment policy, here are the particulars: At consignment businesses, consignment fees typically run as high as 50% and 60%. But we have kept ours at 40% for years. CONSIGNMENT OPTION 1
This is full-service consignment. Full service means we display, advertise, present and demonstrate your
gear, just as we do our own new gear. We handle any customer inquiries
(send them pictures, specs and other relevant information) and find a buyer; we process the
payment and deliver the gear to the buyer; we handle after-purchase questions
and issues and mail you a check for the net proceeds from the sale.
For full-service consignment, Consignment Option 1,
the fee is 40%. CONSIGNMENT OPTION 2 Consignment Level 2 is the same as Level 1, but you keep the gear until it’s sold. We advertise and promote your gear, handle customer inquiries (send them pictures, specs and other relevant information), find a buyer and handle the sale. But once it’s sold, you deliver the item to the buyer yourself. We send you a check for your net proceeds from the sale. For Consignment Option 2, the fee is 25%. Increase Your Proceeds by 10%: This is simple. If you leave your proceeds from the sale on account with us to apply to your own product purchases here at Sweet Home Audio, we reduce our consignment fee by 10%. So, our fee becomes 30% (down from 40%) for full-service consignment, OR it becomes 15% (down from 25%) for consignment sales where you handle the delivery to the customer. IMPORTANT NOTE: When we sell a used item, we do our very best to represent the product exactly as it is. This is very important! One of our most critical operating principles is that "we deliver what we promise." This is not just a slogan for us but the way we actually operate. When we have the used item here in our store, we can verify the operational status and physical condition of the products. When we don't, we try to get pictures and other information about the items so that we gain confidence that the product is as stated. In these cases, we also delay payment until the buying customer has received the item and verified that it truly is as promised. Existing agreements: Needless to say (but here it is anyway!), all current consignments that we now have will continue under whatever agreement was made at the time of the consignment. The above Consignment Levels apply to all new consignments. Of course, our policy to deliver what we promise applies to everything we do. To the very many of you who place your used AV gear with us to sell and to the very many of you who look to us for quality used AV products, we give you a very hearty THANK YOU!
