It's Our Seventh Anniversary in Florida
Special Anniversary Deals - This month only
Seven years ago this month (after 6 successful years in California) we opened up St. Cecilia Sound Gallery here in Clearwater, Florida. It's been an amazing run that included many changes for us. For starters, we changed our name to Sweet Home Audio three years ago when we relocated from our big store on US Highway 19 to our current suite. Other changes: we've evolved to better suit the needs and wants of our Florida music lovers and movie fans - new product categories, new products, new services and a new way to stay in touch with all of our fans and music lovers (this online Newsletter!). One thing has not changed, though. We honor and respect our customers and we do our very best to provide exactly what is needed and wanted. We founded our business on personal integrity. Honesty in all of our dealings is paramount to our business and to our personal lives as well. We thank you all for your support and your interest. And as a token of our appreciation, we are offering some special deals during October this year. Multiple deals don't apply, but we've got some good ones for you. Read on!!
Special Anniversary Deal #1
Zero Sales Tax on all New Products!
This one is simple. All you have to do is mention our Anniversary and we'll pay your sales tax on any new product that we sell - and that includes a LOT of products! Not in Florida? We'll deduct the amount you would have paid in Florida sales tax from your price!
Special Anniversary Deal #2
15% Off on all Speaker Cables and Interconnects!
If you've been in the market for new cables or interconnects, now's the time to move. During our Anniversary Sale, just mention our anniversary and you can have any new speaker cable or interconnect that we sell at this very special price. Choose cables from Harmonic Technology, Acoustic Zen, Audience, Tara Labs or Soundstring. We have some very good bulk cables too.
Special Anniversary Deal #3
20% Off on all Used LPs!
We've got hundreds of used LPs in our shop just waiting for a new home. Come in this month, mention our anniversary and get 20% off all of our LPs.
Special Anniversary Deal #4
25% Off on Installation Labor!
Now's the time to go ahead with that home theater or in-wall speaker project. In addition to the product specials above, this month you'll get 25% off on our installation labor fees when you mention our anniversary. Not bad.
Those of you who visited us in the early years will recognize the above photos of our Shop and listening rooms from our original Florida store on US Hwy 19. Here we are today:
(a little fuzzy, but still here for you)
It's a state of mind...
Here's Ed Sapiega's latest edition of "Jazz, Man" for your edification and reading pleasure. The senior citizens of jazz Jazz artists are seemingly able to play and innovate well past the age of retirement. How fortunate for us youngsters. Adolph
Hank Jones
passed away this past May
at the age of 91. He
released Benny Carter
was an alto saxophonist since the 1920’s. After eight decades of
Fred Anderson
was not as well known as his fellow “senior” peers, possibly because he
remained primarily in Chicago. In the beginning, he was influenced by Lester
Young and Coleman Hawkins but merged the ideas of Ornette Coleman and other free
jazz stylists during the 1960’s. He was a founding member of the Chicago based
AACM (Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians), shepherding many
young musicians into jazz careers. He became the proprietor of the “Velvet
Lounge” in 1982 providing a performing space for these younger musicians and
himself. We recently lost Fred in June of this year at the age of 81. His
recording “Timeless” features two of the musicians under his tutelage: Hamid
Drake and Harrison Bankhead.
Fortunately, we still have with us the inimitable Sonny Rollins who celebrated his 80th birthday recently at the Beacon Theatre in New York. Reportedly, his playing was excellent and the celebration included three special guests: Roy Haynes (85) on drums; Jim Hall (79) on guitar and Ornette Coleman (80) on alto saxophone. Perhaps jazz is the fountain of youth. - Ed Sapiega
