A bit of history:   On July 5, 1997, in Hayward, California, south of Oakland on the east side of the San Francisco Bay, my wife, Peggy, and I established St. Cecilia Sound Gallery (St. Cecilia, as you may know, is the patron Saint of music and musicians).  For the nearly ten years prior to this momentous occasion, I had been the General Manager of Harman International's Specialty Products Division in Hayward.  We designed and manufactured the outstanding Harman Kardon Citation series of amplifiers, home theater preamp/processors and speakers as well as the then cutting-edge Audioaccess distributed audio products.  When Harmon moved this operation to Connecticut to join Madrigal (Mark Levinson and Proceed brands) in the mid 1990's,  I joined the team at The Audible Difference in Palo Alto, California as their new General Manager.  We were the premier high-end audio/video and custom installation company in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Since  discovering, early in 1967, how wonderfully music could be reproduced at home, I've been a dedicated audiophile.   I spent literally hundreds of hours listening to music systems at nearly every audio store in every city I visited.  I also read everything I could get my hands on about home audio systems.   I learned a great deal.  I also experienced dozens of audio sales people over those years, some great, some not so much.  I knew when a salesman cared about helping me and when they just wanted to make a sale.  I also knew when they knew what they were talking about and when they were blowing smoke.   From these experiences, I knew I wanted to create a stereo store where my customers would get the kind of treatment that I appreciated as a customer, and where high performance audio products are offered that are very high value as well.  And so I did.  St. Cecilia Sound Gallery specialized in tube gear, turntables and making music lovers happy.

In 2003, we moved from California to Clearwater, Florida and established our new location on US 19, just south of Sunset Blvd.  In 2008, when the economy tanked, when most of the stereo stores in the Tampa Bay Area were either switching to focus on home theater or going out of business, we downsized, changed our name to Sweet Home Audio and relocated to a small shop near downtown Clearwater.  Almost three years ago, we expanded our operation to a much larger store in Dunedin, Florida.  Here we have four listening rooms full of excellent audio gear ready for our customers to audition high quality, affordable (mostly), beautiful audio gear.

Come on in!  We'd love to see you!
